Daub

Uncommon

Daub

Overview

When a rex passes away, a dracm is placed in their mouth so they can pay their guide. It is said that daub's spots are the mark each coin left on their body. That must mean that those with a lot of daub have many lives behind them... However, since it's associated with coins, there are also rumors of daub indicating future wealth. It's up to you to decide if this marking is a somber or fortunate one.

Special Interactions

Some markings interact uniquely with Daub, creating distinctive presentations when combined. Here's a list of these special markings.

Frontier

Whenever Daub and Frontier are both present on a geno, Frontier is allowed to show up as a organized mottling surrounding the marking's edges instead of a solid line! This may affect as many marks as you'd like, as long as they are connected!

What constitutes "connected"?
Hood + Unders with Frontier/Daub interaction, note how Hood and Unders present as one seamless marking. Pinion and Dipped are neither touching nor do they have the same color. They do not present as one seamless marking, making this Frontier/Daub interaction illegal.

Swathes

When Daub and Swathes are both present on a geno, Daub can arrange itself into a barring or brindle pattern, similar to that seen on a snowy owl or spotted tabby cat!
