Companions

Explanation

Companions are game boons that help you get items in Activities! Each one has its' own mechanic, so read the description cards underneath this in order to find out what they bring!

  • Companion bonuses are only activated by either drawing them or writing about them in your AR!
  • In art, they must be at least 50x50 pixels large with at least 50% of the companion visible in order to count.
  • They must be regularly mentioned in literature in order to count.
  • When you add a companion, it will be added to your Rexal's Attainments tab in its' juvenile stage!
  • You are free to draw your companion as an adult, as long as it uses the design seen on the juvenile image seen on the import!

  • If you would like to use a custom design for your companion, you will have to use a Charmed Collar
  • Each companion has its' own PSD and loose design rules that muse be followed.
  • The base "import" of a companion, AKA the one visible under the Attainments tab, may never have line edits!
  • Once a Charmed Collar has been applied, you may only draw your companion using its' custom design! You may still draw them as a juvenile, though!
  • You do not have to grow your companion up! If you do not want to draw them with a custom design, you can draw them as the standardized design and they will give you the same boons!

Deer

Deer companions enable you to bring home seeds from scouting, as long as they are present in your AR!

  • You are welcome to use common deer or goat markings when designing your deer.
  • Colors should always stay natural.
  • You are allowed to add an import halo around the companion, similar to actual Rexal imports.
  • The only line edits that are allowed to be made are: You may saw the antlers off of the Stag lines to leave little nubs, or leave them off completely.
  • You can never add anything to the lineart!

  • You are welcome to use common wolf or dog markings when designing your wolf.
  • Colors should always stay natural.
  • You are allowed to add an import halo around the companion, similar to actual Rexal imports.

Charmed Assorted Treats

Click here to use a Charmed Assorted Treats

You can add your companions onto your Rexal's import using a Charmed Assorted Treats!

  • Companions get their own overlay layer!
  • This means that they should be saved on a transparent PNG that is the same size as our backgrounds- 2300x1600 pixels. Your PNG should look something like what can be seen below!
  • Because your companion is on its' own layer, you can size your Rex up and down without changing the size of your companion!

You are also welcome to create your own custom art! There are a few rules, though, and this can only apply to what's visible on the import itself!.

  • Custom companions should always resemble the animal you've used the treats on.
  • The design used must match what can be seen in the Attainments tab. If you've used a Collar on the companion, it should match the custom design you've made, otherwise you can use the design shown on the base companion!
  • If you choose to use the original lineart for this, you are free to edit it to add extra tines to a stag's antlers or extra fluff to a wolf. Keep in mind that it should still look like the original animal!
    • Remember that this only applies to Charmed Assorted Treats, and can only be used on the actual Rexal import. You can never edit the lineart shown in the Attainments tab!
  • The companion should stay roughly canon sized, not much bigger or smaller. You can compare using the chart seen above!
  • Here's an example of custom companion lineart! You can also see some by searching for Charmed Assorted Treats in the Citizen Archivum!
