Delphic

Overview

Rex with this marking were beloved in the forelife, each spot on their body is a kiss from someone who didn't want to let them go. However, there's a rumor that delphic may be a sign that one's magic is leaking from their body...

Boundaries

Copy paste these images directly into your art program over your design and set them to multiply for the best work effect.
Alternatively you can download the boundary PSDs with the marking boundaries!

Delphic is a unique marking that emulates the enchanting bioluminescence seen in marine organisms. It can manifest as rows of glowing white dots, with a few stray dots permitted for added character, or 'Delphic' can imbue another selected marking on your Rexal (from a specific provided list) with this luminous effect.

The density of the 'Delphic' spots isn't rigidly defined, but it's crucial that they never resemble 'daub' or 'dust'.
Each spot should stand out, mimicking the sparkling glow of underwater light.

'Delphic' always presents in white or in the lambent slider colors (exceptions apply to 'Leid' and 'Warren') and can feature hard or semi-soft edges. However, it should always exhibit a radiant, glowing effect.

If it's used to make another marking glow, all instances of that specific marking type must carry the same glowing effect. For instance, if 'bullseye' is the chosen marking, all 'bullseye' markings must exhibit the glow.

Below, you'll find the designated sliders from which 'Delphic' should be chosen, as well as a helpful tutorial on how to implement the glow effect. Lastly, don't forget - your Rexal's claws can also join the luminous show!

This is the list of markings delphic can affect:

  • Dust
  • Pinion
  • Pursuit
  • Tears
  • Bullseye
  • Daub
  • Frontier
  • Petal
  • Swathes
  • Laurel
  • Leid (must glow in colors)
  • The inner color of Warren
  • The white layer of dominant Coating

Lastly here is an example that would be denied if you do not have daub in your geno!
If Delphic is dom it can color a marking and add spots!
