Caelestia
CAE/cae
Overview
In ancient times a rex born with the caelestia marking would've been heralded as a future stargazer. Nowadays those with this marking can walk their own path, but for some it may still lead to the heavens.

"Caelestia" is a marking that reflects the majesty and wonder of celestial constellations, forming a single, united galaxy across your rexal's coat. The design should be well-blended and soft-edged, seamlessly transitioning into the surrounding coat and creating an almost foggy effect. This marking should not exist in disconnected patches, but as one coherent galaxy that blankets a portion of your rexal's form.
The galaxy itself is studded with stars, which need to be white unless the arcane marking is present. These celestial bodies, while they can be soft at their edges, should remain distinct and recognisable, whether they take on the form of sparkling stars or small, glowing dots.
While there should be a minimum of four stars, there's no maximum limit. However, ensure that they are not so overwhelming as to obscure the base galaxy. For an extra layer of depth and complexity, you have the option to connect these stars with lines - forming constellations. These lines can be solid or dashed, depending on your personal preference.
Careful now! While this is pretty, it would not pass. Notice the lines are not connected to stars at all! |
This is a good example for hard edges that would not pass. Be careful to make the marking's edges soft! |
