Pigment

Overview

Rex that have one marking colored in a pastel color are said to be blessed by the sky for their good deeds. Since this isn't that uncommon, though, often rex just roll their eyes when one mentions this.

Symmetry Rules

Rules

  • You can only choose one color!
  • This modifier can only affect markings that have no special color rules!
  • If you choose a marking that allows for a gradient, pigment overrides that and turns the marking into one color only.
  • If a marking has multiple layers that have different color rules, pigment will only color one layer. (Ex.: Brushed, Squall)
  • If you have lambent in your geno, Pigment will turn one marking back into their normal coat color.
  • Unlike arcane, pigment MUST be present somewhere in your design unless you choose to carry the specific gene!
  • If you don't have any markings in your geno, or a geno that can be affected, it will not show however.
  • Arcane does not affect pigment, since both are color modifiers.
  • Pigment must be picked from the lambent slider provided.
  • Pigment can be used to colour claws and/or Paw Pads in addition to the 1 marking.
  • Pigment cannot affect free marks (except Paw Pads and Pink Sheen)

  • Special interaction! This color mod can additionally color the entire rexal's skin. This includes the pink sheen layer.
If you want to affect the skin and want the pink sheen layer enabled, it must be the same color as the flesh layer.
It does not have to be the same color as the marking you chose to color (if any),
however, you must choose a color from the same slider.

Boundaries

Copy paste these images directly into your art program over your design and set them to multiply for the best work effect.
Alternatively you can download the boundary PSDs with the marking boundaries!

There are no Boundaries for this marking. There are no Boundaries for this marking.
This modifier turns one marking of your rex into a chosen color from the Lambent slider. You are free to choose whichever color from this slider you like, but you can only choose ONE!

Two Layer Markings?

Two layer markings are able to have only one layer of them affected. Here is brushed as example:
If pigment is dom it can color in TWO markings! They can have the same or different colors!
OR
When dom Pigment is applied to a marking with multiple layers (ex. Brushed, Squall), it can color two parts of the marking in different colors!
