Hood

Overview

Did you dip your head in mud? Don't worry, the other rexes are just teasing! Actually this marking is quite prestigious, since it's said to originate from one of the past queens.

Symmetry Rules

Rules

  • Soft edged hood cannot fill the entire throat armor due to its hard edges!
  • Hood should be fairly simple in it's design.
  • As long as the coverage of the marking is a similar size to the minimum range, it can travel within the boundary area, but should still connect to the minimum coverage area somewhere.
โ†ณ This should not only be a pixel! Make sure we can actually see the connection.
  • This marking must start from the middle line of the rexal's head and spread outwards.
  • Hood is allowed to have one hole that starts on the snout, creating the illusion of an actual hood.

Boundaries

Copy paste these images directly into your art program over your design and set them to multiply for the best work effect.
Alternatively you can download the boundary PSDs with the marking boundaries!

Furred

Since Hood is a fairly basic marking, you should aim for simplicity. Making it overly complicated may result in you getting sent to corrections.

This Hood has way too complicated edges. There also looks to be some sort of hole on the back of the head, the likes of which are also not allowed.

Hood presentation

Hood can have a hole that starts at the snout, just like so: Careful though! Make sure it does truly start at the very tip of the snout. Careful that it also looks like a hole and not a line.
Make sure your hood doesn't look like a collar! Hood must always touch the minimum area!
Hood will extend it's boundary when dominant.
